Hungary’s economic landscape is adorned with strengths that set a promising foundation for a thriving start-up ecosystem. A rich culture of scientific innovation, coupled with an abundance of innovative talent and strategic proximity to influential European markets, presents a great opportunity for Hungary to bolster its economic resilience and global competitiveness.

However, within this landscape lies a gender gap that’s ready to be closed. The world of entrepreneurship in Hungary has seen around 25% of start-ups founded between 2010 and 2020 having at least one female founder. Despite this, the number of new start-ups each year with female co-founders remains modest.
