It is important to get outside your comfort zone in 2019, and stay relevant and energized. That is where the magic happens! So, get into situations where you can be open to that serendipity in 2019!

As the dawn of 2019 opens up, we look for new horizons to open up. And, we know that every new year rings in anticipation, raising new levels of excitement. Yes, every new year ushers in a “newness” and we get sufficiently charged up to start afresh and, erase the past that we may wish to forget.

The world is changing and it’s hard to scale, differentiate yourself, and maintain trust in the ever-changing marketing world. The more you can plan ahead, the better equipped you feel to manage those changes when they happen.

So, that’s why we are excited about 2019. For sure, there will be new entrepreneurs and businesses that will appear in the horizon. But, here’s a secret mantra. For those who have their businesses up and going, perhaps they can brush up their planning or business skills – to make their businesses more lucrative.

Here’s something women entrepreneurs look forward to:

Get more creative – that will set you apart
The toughest part of launching a new business is arriving at that Big Idea! After that, what matters is to execute them and launch the product in the market.
Today, there is the advantage of everything going digital, and entrepreneurs must seize every opportunity to do something different. This is not to imply that they do something only because it’s uncommon and not because it resonates with their audiences. But, they should consider integrated campaigns and creative distribution tactics that focus on ways to engage audiences that they are targeting (and, their competition may not be considering!).

• Go beyond internal barriers
Overcome barriers to create engaging content – that will take your marketing many steps ahead. It can help your sales team and can be beneficial to recruiting, investor communications, internal training, and just about every other area of your business!
Businesses that put up barriers between divisions will fail in the long run. We have seen enough examples of this. Creating engaging content isn’t just a marketing concern. Great content can fuel other parts of the company, resulting in better talent, lower costs, and improved relationships with investors.

• Understand how your customers communicate – this is vital
Technology has evolved tremendously over the last several years. Customers are exposed to it and they expect that companies will communicate with them in the ways they like. That’s why it’s so important for marketers to be aware of their customers’ communication preferences.

In fact, expert analysts are predicting about how customers will operate in the future. Some analysts feel that approx. 50 percent of all searches will be made through voice search by 2020. This is worth giving a serious thought!
The crux of the matter is – you must outdo yourself when it comes to customer service.
And so, continue to raise the bar when it comes to customer service next year!

• Try to focus on diversity
‘Diversity’ is indeed a buzzword today. Diversity at the workplace has raised its head of late. Women entrepreneurs can look forward to diversify into new verticals. The obvious goal is to master the business, try not to lose out, and even though it may happen sometimes, you can work on diversifying the sector that you play in, with one objective – to allow for constant growth.

• Always look out for new ideas and partners
It will help to network, so that you can participate in more high-impact activities and spend time with decision-makers and key influencers in the new year. Those types of opportunities are energizing and when smart people get together at events and meetings the conversation is always interesting and inspiring. One goal is to find new partners through these interactions where we can explore innovative ways to collaborate that are mutually beneficial.

It is important to get outside your comfort zone and expand your network to stay relevant and energized. Whether it is an exclusive event or a dinner prior to a conference, you must be open to new ideas and people who expand your thinking and network. That is where the magic happens! So, set your goal to get into situations where you can be open to that serendipity in 2019!

Let your 2019 overarching goal be – to build and maintain a smart leadership team. This is a leadership team where everyone knows exactly where you are going, who can complete your business goals, live your core values and truly work together to build a great brand.
