SKAUST-K KVK Budgam empowers rural youth and women in mushroom entrepreneurship

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in Budgam, under the aegis of SKUAST-K, has successfully concluded a one-week Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) focused on mushroom production technology and its processing. Sponsored by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Micro-Enterprises, Government of India, this initiative ran from November 1 to November 7, and targeted the rural youth and farm women of Chayer village, Magam District Budgam. The primary objective of this program was to equip the participants with the knowledge and skills required to explore entrepreneurial opportunities in mushroom production and processing, thereby contributing to rural development and self-sufficiency.
