Shiprocket launches 'Aarambh 2020' for Indian women entrepreneurs

Ahead of the upcoming International Women’s Day 2020 in March, AI-powered logistics platform Shiprocket has announced the launch of ‘Aarambh 2020’, an entrepreneurial competition. The event will see small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by women compete for the best business model.

It is aimed at encouraging women-driven ventures from all over the country to submit innovative business ideas, thereby fostering the spirit of entrepreneurship in them. This will also help novel ideas find recognition and grow into successful businesses, thereby contributing to Bharat commerce, as well.

All women entrepreneurs, from students and working professionals to even housewives, whose businesses are in the idea or commerce stage, can take part in the competition. They can register via the Shiprocket website, before February 17, with the winner to be declared and awarded on March 6, the International Women’s Day 2020.

The three best business models will be crowned winners, and receive a prize money of Rs 3 lakh, and an opportunity for mentorship by seasoned entrepreneurs. The event will also provide ample networking opportunities with prospective partners and investors.

In addition to this, Shiprocket will also provide assistance to these entrepreneurs in website development, and advanced shipping solutions.
