Schwab Foundation and Jubilant Bhartia Foundation presents the Hindustan Times Fellowship

The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship and the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation has entered into a partnership with Stanford Seed to launch a fellowship programme for entrepreneurs.

Stanford Seed is an institute under the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). The one-year long Seed Transformation programme is aimed at helping the institute collaborate with entrepreneurs in emerging economies, to create successful ventures that transform lives and communities in the country.

The programme will provide entrepreneurs with management training, one-on-one support, and networking opportunities, to empower them to create greater economic prosperity in their regions. To this end, the Hindustan Times Fellowship would be presented to one or more person(s), every year, for the next five years, to encourage them to take part in the Seed Transformation programme, in India.

Ms Hilde Schwab, chairperson and co-founder of Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, said, “We are excited to collaborate with Stanford Seed, Hindustan Times, and Jubilant Bhartia Foundation to expand the Stanford Seed Transformation Program’s impact in India. The practical knowledge that our members will gain through this immersive programme will allow them to sharpen their skills, broaden their reach and take their enterprises to the next level. We are grateful to all organizations for their commitment to the field of social innovation.”

Mr Shyam S Bhartia, founder and chairman, and Mr Hari S Bhartia, co-founder and chairman, of Jubilant Bhartia Group, said, “Starting with the Stanford Seed Transformation Program – India Class of 2021, a fellowship is being endowed and called ‘Hindustan Times Fellowship’. In combination with other philanthropic contributions, this fellowship will enable finalists of Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award (SEOY) to participate in the one-year Seed Transformation Program in India. We feel that this will go a long way to help social entrepreneurs gain the leadership and practical management skills.”

Mr Darius F. Teter, the executive director of Stanford Seed, added, “Companies that complete the Seed program not only grow their revenue, they create jobs and impact their communities at large. We are pleased to bring into our program India’s Social Entrepreneur of the Year, thanks to the generous support of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship and the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation.”
