The Republic of Korea and the United States, through the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), have launched the Capacity Strengthening for Women Social Entrepreneurs program. This initiative builds on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between KOICA and USAID in February 2024 and focuses on supporting women entrepreneurs in India. The launch event, held at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, was attended by representatives from both countries, including Deputy Chief of Mission Minister Lim Sang Woo, KOICA Country Director Woo Chan Chang, U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission Jorgan Andrews, USAID Acting Mission Director Alexandria Huerta, and Joint Secretary of MSME Mercy Epao.
