KVIB, Raha conducts entrepreneurship awareness programme in Morigaon, Assam

On Tuesday, January 21st, KVIB, Raha organised an entrepreneurship awareness programme in Morigaon town, Assam, with the help of the Jeeban Jeuti Krishak Sangha. The day-long programme was aimed at helping create awareness regarding entrepreneurship and leveraging business opportunities, among the unemployed educated youths, women, and artisans, in the region.

The larger goal of the event was to lay the stones for promoting self-employment, by setting up village industries in the area. Hence, the awareness programme saw attendees and participants receiving entrepreneurial guidance and knowhow about procuring financial assistance or support from banks and other financial institutions.

In addition to this, they were also enlightened about the training facility developed by the Multi-disciplinary Training Centre (MDTC), under the Assam Khadi and Village Industry Board, and encouraged to utilise the it to the fullest, to enhance their skills.

The programme saw an address by the Principal of KVIB, Apurba Kr. Mahanta, who spoke in detail about the core objective of the programme. While a total of 110 youths participated in the training programme, the event also had the executive chairman of AAKS, Tulashi Deka, in attendance as the chief guest.
