Indian women entrepreneurs going global for big market

Led by 18 US businesswomen and entrepreneurs along with 13 of their Indian counterparts, All India Roadshow on Women’s Economic Empowerment through Entrepreneurship (AIRSWEEE) 3.0 will embark on initiatives to make global leaders out of Indian women entrepreneurs.

It has directly empowered 575 women entrepreneurs in over 125 Tier-II and Tier III cities in 16 states of India. The AIRSWEEE program, launched in 2016,by TiE Global’spioneering mentorship program provides a platform to share US business best practices with aspiring Indian women entrepreneurs to empower them economically by setting up sustainable businesses.

Funded by the US State Department, AIRSWEEE Scale-Up Fellows program will provide mentorship to 30 young, innovative women from across India to scale up their enterprises through hands-on industry mentorship.  The Top 3 Scale-Up Fellows aresponsored for a visit to the US as AIRSWEEE Global Fellows and are mentored by a host US organization that will provide them a window to global best practices, according to a US Embassy statement.

“Project AIRSWEEE is one of the largest trail-blazing program innovations that promoteswomen entrepreneurs in India. It has resulted in demonstrated, positive impact, not only on the women mentored directly through the program, but also on over 2,500 women businesses reached indirectly through the pay-it-forward ethos of our AIRSWEEE members, resulting in a massive multiplier effect. And we have just begun,” stated Seema Chaturvedi, Chairperson of Project AIRSWEEE.

TiE Global announced AIRSWEEE Global Fellowships, an innovative program through which three selected AIRSWEEE entrepreneurs will travel to the United States to shadow CEOs of aligned global companies for a period of 10 days. The three selected members are Ms. Tharakeshwari Palanisamy, Founder & CEO of Ganya Agro Products Pvt Ltd; Ms. ShraddhaKhare, Co-Founder, Owner, Director of Instant Rasoi OPC Pvt. Ltd; and Ms. Zaiba Sarang, Founder of iThink Logistics, a Mumbai-based company engaged in AI-driven technology for the Indian logistics industry.

AIRSWEEE Global Fellowship’s unique immersion program will help these entrepreneurs to position their companies to be global in their outlook and reach.
