One such program, the Micro Skillpreneurship Development Program (MSDP), sponsored by Accenture, is a significant effort in this direction. As part of the MSDP, a 26-day training workshop was held from November 2 to 27 in the Madhuban Ranikhamar area of West Tripura District. The workshop brought together 50 women members of self-help groups, along with notable guests, including the Chief Manager of Indian Overseas Bank, the Panchayat Secretary, and the EDII Project Officer. Speaking at the inaugural event, EDII State Project Officer Timir Chowdhury emphasized the program’s importance in enhancing financial stability and fostering entrepreneurship among women. He highlighted the role of such initiatives in driving social and economic development. The training focuses on production, processing, and marketing activities, particularly involving masru, and aims to create sustainable rural livelihood opportunities for the 50 women participants.
