State preps for G20 EMPOWER Summit, Smriti Irani set to launch digital inclusion platform

Union Minister for Women & Child Development Smriti Irani will launch the G20 EMPOWER Digital Inclusion Platform during the G20 EMPOWER Summit next week. The summit is set to be held in the state from August 1 to 4, which will also include a G20 Ministerial Conference on Women Empowerment between August 2 and 4. The event, to be held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, will be based on themes ‘Women-Led Development: Ensuring a Sustainable, Inclusive, and Equitable Global Economic Growth,’ and ‘Women-led Inclusive Development as Cusp of Inter-Generational Transformation’ respectively.
