Join me in today’s vodcast with an exemplary woman icon, who actualizes the adage, ‘when the going gets tough, the tough get going’. We have with us here Dr. Kiran Bedi, BRICS CCI WE Trailblazer, Global Woman Icon Lifetime Achievement Awardee. 

Being the first woman to join the Indian Police Service as an officer, she has indeed been a trailblazing police officer and also a fearless reformer. Additionally, she has also served as LT. Governor of Puducherry and is the founder of Navjyoti India Foundation and India Vision Foundation. 

In this podcast Dr. Kiran Bedi highlights the urgency of accelerating gender equality. Being at forefront in this space, she agrees to have witnessed humongous acceleration toward creating a gender equitable society, but acknowledges, that there is still a long way to go. The audience gets a glimpse of her persona as she speaks of her belief in crime prevention before crime detection and combatting systemic corruption. Finally, her zeal to empower and inspire more women in leadership roles leads her to advocate the use of technology and be gender-bling while recruiting
