Women Enterprises Development Scheme
The scheme provides financial assistance to women entrepreneurs so that they can start their own ventures. Women entrepreneurs who have their own business can also register themselves under this scheme for expansion, modernization and diversification of their businesses. Skilled women entrepreneurs between the age group of 18 and 50 years are eligible to take loan under this scheme. The project cost shouldn’t increase Rs 15 lakhs. 75% of the project cost will be given as assistance and the promoter has to contribute another 25%. The applicant has to repay the term loan within 3-7 years.
Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA)
The Authority develops agricultural commodities and processed food and also assists in the export activities. It provides financial assistance in packaging development, export promotion and market development.
Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI)
The Ministry takes care of technological up gradation activities, modernization of food processing industries especially in fruits and vegetables and pulses production. It also provides a loan of upto Rs 75 lakhs for setting up of food processing plant and other technical civil works in North East region of India.
Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojana (AHVY)
The scheme works towards the development of handicraft business and encourage participation in handicraft industries. It extends financial assistance in order to develop and supply of modernized tools. It also conducts workshops, training programs, seminars and exhibitions for developing the handicraft industry of North Eastern region of India.
Mahila Coir Yojana
It is women oriented self employment scheme that provides a subsidy of 75% of the cost of purchase of rats. This subsidy is provided to trained women artisans.
Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region
The Ministry is engaged in planning and execution and monitoring of various developments related schemes in North East Region of India. The Ministry is solely responsible for the socio-economic development of the region.
Deen Dayal Upadhyay Swalamban Yojana (DDUSY)
It is a very recent scheme that was launched in 2017 in Arunachal Pradesh by the state government. The scheme provides assistance to the unemployed youth of the state via various banking channels. The scheme was mainly launched to boost the agricultural and tourism sectors in the state.
Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ladies Organisation
The organisation was established in 1983 which is a part of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. It is an apex body of industry and commerce in India. It is actively working in 14 chapters of pan India. The members of the organisation are entrepreneurs, professionals and Corporate Executives. FICCI Ladies Organisation is the ladies wing. The organisation represents 5000 women entrepreneurs and professionals.
Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship
The Department works to empower individuals of Arunachal Pradesh. It builds capacity of individuals by improving their skills, developing knowledge and creating employment opportunities. The main mission of the department is creating competitiveness of Arunachal Pradesh in the national and global market. It provides industry-specific training to unemployed and underemployed youth, enhances individual’s employability to adapt to changing technologies and labour market demands. It improves productivity and living standards of the people.
Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship
The institute provides mentoring services to the budding/trained/ existing entrepreneurs in the state of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. It engages pool of professionals for providing mentoring services to entrepreneurs. Its main aim is to guide and develop entrepreneurship. It creates an environment of mutual cooperation, effective networking, sustainable and growing society.
National Skills Network
It is a team of development enthusiasts and experienced professionals who provide skills in holistic education for continued employability. It creates awareness and promotes positive impact of skills for economic development and individual empowerment. It reaches out to people through digital and social media.
Federation of Indian Women Entrepreneurs
The organisation is a representation of dynamic and professional women who are in some or the other way lack support of their homes and families. These women are the victims of oppositions and cultural inhibitions. The organisation supports women who are exploring new vistas of economic participation and are entrepreneurs of positive change. It is a national level organisation that brings business women in a common platform and ensures their development. They collaborate with policy makers and other agencies who work with the same purpose. It creates public awareness towards women’s contribution to the national economy.
New Industrial Policy, Arunachal Pradesh, 2001
Women Entrepreneurs are encouraged and trained in order to generate employment among women and to enhance the scope of women entrepreneurs. Under this policy the State Government will reserve 33 percent of industrial sheds, development plots in Industrial Area / Estate / Growth Centre etc for women.
Women welfare programmes for Self Help Groups and Mahila Mandals, Arunachal Pradesh
Under this Scheme Directorate aims to create awareness amongst the women entrepreneurs about various programmes of the State Government and Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Women & Child Development with an objective of generating employment and making them self reliant. The Women Self Help Groups are sent to different parts of the country in order to inculcate awareness about implementation of various women welfare and empowerment Scheme, so that they are fully aware and informed about the activities carried out by the Self Help Group (SHGs) and Mahila Mandals with an objective of maintaining their cultural heritage and economic upliftment, national integration, etc. They are taken to historical, cultural and economically developed places in the country so that they can further implement the programmes of socio-economic development at their respective places effectively and efficiently.
Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development and Financial Corporation (APIDFC)
Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development and Financial Corporation (APIDFC) was established in the year 1978 as company under Companies Act, 1956 for promoting industries in Arunachal Pradesh. It is performing both the roles of State Industrial Development Corporation and State Financial Corporation.
