Holistic wellness is a real thing today and you definitely need it! Of late, holistic wellness has been highly embellished – and rightly so! Holistic wellness encompasses mental, emotional, and physical health and gauging its importance, Ms. Preeti Singh, launched “Sattva Nation”. Describing her venture as ‘a festival of holistic wellness’, Ms. Singh aims to spread wellness in the society and also help youth/women achieve the purpose of their life. Till date, she has inspired countless women nationwide and she truly believes that, true beauty transcends appearance—it reflects the grace and grit of the mind and the depth of the soul.
Sattva Nation works on eight Dimensions of Wellness: occupational, emotional, spiritual, environmental, financial, physical, social, and intellectual. The organization also does various Festivals, Webinars, Events, Conferences (Corporate, Universities, Government Institutions) and provides wellness experts on a common platform. Having such a holistic approach to wellness programs aids individuals to develop and become their best selves; and that is exactly what Ms. Singh, Founder of Sattva Nation, aspires to do!
Quote- “Respect your journey, no matter how small it seems”.
- What inspired you to become a wellness crusader?
Becoming a wellness crusader was never a conscious decision—it happened to me almost accidentally. I truly believe it was given to me by God as a purpose of life, albeit under unfortunate circumstances. During the pandemic, I was going through one of the most difficult phases of my life. I lost my father on the very first day of the lockdown. The world around me was in chaos—every individual, every family, every nation was going through a collective trauma. Economies were crashing, people were struggling physically, emotionally, and mentally—and yet, in the middle of all this pain, the only thing that was flourishing was Mother Nature.
The Corona period taught me what truly matters in life. I realized that the things we often keep chasing—money, career, ambition, or social validation—do not matter as much as we think. What truly matters is the food we eat, the emotions we carry, and the relationships we hold close. I understood that the most essential things in life—clean air, pure water, nourishing food, love, and meaningful connections—come to us free and in abundance, yet we are the ones polluting and neglecting them.
In that period of reflection, I began reading deeply, to cope with my grief, my health struggles, and the emotional trauma I was carrying. Those readings and my personal healing journey made me realize that wellness is not just about physical fitness—it is about the overall balance of mind, body, spirit, and environment. It made me question and redefine what success truly means.
That is how Sattva Nation was born—a vision to create awareness around the eight pillars of wellness: physical, emotional, mental, environmental, spiritual, and intellectual wellness. For me, wellness is no longer just a lifestyle choice—it’s a way of life, a responsibility, and my purpose.
- What is Sattva Nation’s core mission and how does it translate into the work you do?
The core mission of Sattva Nation is to handhold people towards becoming the best version of their own unique selves. We believe that every individual is the purest and finest creation of God, born with a unique purpose—not to compete with others but to grow, evolve and shine in their own light. Our mission is about guiding people back to their true selves and to the purity and wisdom that already resides within them.
The name itself carries this philosophy. Sattva—one of the three Gunas mentioned in the Vedas alongside Rajasic and Tamasic—represents purity, balance and wisdom. At Sattva Nation, our work revolves around balancing these aspects to create harmony and holistic wellness in every life we touch.
We translate this mission into action through our focus on eight pillars of wellness:
- Physical wellness – helping people nurture and strengthen their bodies through fitness and lifestyle choices.
- Emotional & mental wellness – recognizing that as human beings we are made of vibrations and frequencies; our emotions and mental health shape our overall well-being.
- Environmental wellness – reconnecting with Mother Nature, respecting the air, water and food she provides in abundance, and teaching sustainable living so we don’t cut our own roots in the name of urbanization.
- Occupational wellness – creating awareness about peaceful, positive and productive workspaces where people spend most of their day, helping them evolve as professionals and humans.
- Financial wellness – running workshops and programs that teach saving, planning and building a secure foundation for a dignified life.
- Intellectual wellness – encouraging people to pursue hobbies, passions, and meaningful conversations with like-minded communities, instead of postponing the things that truly bring them joy and growth.
- Social wellness – reminding us that we are social beings who thrive on healthy relationships and strong communities.
- Spiritual wellness – guiding individuals to connect with their own inner self and with the universal power, beyond religion, to find peace and purpose.
Based on these ‘pillars’, Sattva Nation runs workshops, seminars, conferences, and community activities across colleges, corporates, and institutions. We’ve built a tribe—a supportive community that transcends caste, race, or financial background—where we handhold, uplift, and empower each other.
At its heart, Sattva Nation is about living with balance, giving back, and rediscovering the wisdom and purity already within us.
- Can you illustrate some wellness programs you have implemented and their impact?
We started very small, with a simple intention—to bring genuine change in people’s lives. Our first programs were conducted in colleges, where we focused on personality development, mental health, and spiritual awareness. The idea was to help the youth—the next generation—understand the importance of emotional well-being and self-awareness.
Through these sessions, students understood how to manage their emotions, recognize their triggers, and respond to life’s challenges with greater balance. Over time, we saw a beautiful transformation—young minds becoming more emotionally intelligent, resilient, and confident in their own identity.
Our next major initiative was in the space of environmental wellness. We began celebrating World Environment Day in a big way, conducting workshops with MCD school children and encouraging them to plant trees. We created a tradition of planting a tree on special occasions—like birthdays, anniversaries, or milestones—turning celebrations into a contribution to Mother Earth. This initiative was not just about planting trees; it was about cultivating responsibility, gratitude, and awareness for the environment in every individual.
One of our flagship programs, the Sattva Iconic Wellness Awards, holds a very special place in our journey. Through these awards, we recognize individuals who are silently creating meaningful impact in society—without seeking personal gain. From women in rural India who are empowering others financially and emotionally, to heroes like Constable Seema Dhaka, who rescued 16 young girls from a trafficking racket, to doctors, artists, and classical performers preserving India’s heritage—we celebrate their contribution and give them the recognition they deserve. Our goal has always been to make these unsung heroes visible, because they truly represent the spirit of a “New India.”
Another initiative very close to my heart is our Women Empowerment Program. Through workshops and seminars, we address issues that affect women across rural and urban spaces—be it financial literacy, awareness about workplace rights, or understanding the POSH Act. The response has been incredible. We’ve seen women gain confidence, take charge of their finances, and stand stronger in their workplaces and communities.
Finally, one of our newest and most transformative initiatives is our Spiritual Wellness Workshop and Retreats, which has also been appreciated by the Ministry. These programs are not about religion—they are about universal energy, self-connection, and inner peace. In these retreats, participants step away from the chaos of city life for three or four days and immerse themselves in nature-based experiences—morning yoga, afternoon meditation, evening intellectual activities, creative sessions like painting and sketching, and even moments of silence. The results have been profound—people return more focused, calmer, and spiritually awakened.
Each of these initiatives empowers people to become their best selves—embodying Sattva Nation’s spirit of conscious, balanced growth.
- What does the road ahead look like for you?
The road ahead for me, as the founder of Sattva Nation, looks truly beautiful. For us, it’s not about reaching a destination — it’s about cherishing the journey itself, because the journey is the real reward.
Going forward, our focus is on introducing Life Skills Programs, which are designed to teach people the art of living life at its best. In today’s world, everyone is chasing success, and validation — but somewhere along the way, we’ve lost touch with the essence of simply living well happily.
At Sattva Nation, we believe that true happiness is an inner state — a skill that can be cultivated with awareness, discipline, and gratitude.
When I talk about life skills, I mean learning how to:
- Understand and manage one’s emotions,
- Be self-aware and independent in finding joy,
- Practice happiness as a conscious choice rather than a result of external circumstances.
We often take inspiration from both ancient wisdom and modern examples. Like Jim Carrey once said — “I wish everyone could get rich and famous so they’d know it’s not the answer.” Similarly, even at the peak of her success, Deepika Padukone spoke openly about her struggle with depression. These stories reiterate that fulfilment doesn’t come from fame or money, but from emotional wellness and inner balance.
Our vision for the future includes building a strong, compassionate community — not defined by religion, but united by empathy, openness, and mutual respect. We want to initiate the creation of a generation that listens, understands, and supports one another.
We are also working towards launching wellness festivals that beautifully merge ancient Indian sciences with modern practices — such as celebrating Maha Shivratri as a festival of spiritual wellness, or creating cultural and intellectual events that promote art, reading, and creativity.
Another key step ahead is introducing Sattva Memberships — a collective movement that welcomes everyone, from school students to professionals, to be part of initiatives like tree planting, meditation, wellness workshops, and the Sattva Iconic Awards. The goal is to make wellness a way of life — not an occasional effort.
Our long-term vision is to make meditation and mindfulness a part of the school curriculum, with dedicated meditation centres across educational institutions. We strongly believe that once you know yourself better, you stop running the endless race of comparison and start living a more meaningful, peaceful life.
Ultimately, the road ahead is about redefining success — from what we own to who we are.
- Any ‘satvik’ suggestions for someone wishing to follow in your footsteps?
Sattva Nation happened to me when I was at the peak of my career. I was enjoying all the luxuries one could imagine — a good position, recognition, financial stability — and yet, there was a strange emptiness inside me. I kept asking myself, “Is this it? Is this what life is really about?” That feeling made me realize that success and fulfilment are not always the same thing.
On a lighter note, I often say — I started my journey on a bicycle, and today I drive a BMW. But the real journey wasn’t from the bicycle to the BMW — it was from confusion to clarity, from achievement to purpose.
What I’ve learned through this path is that everyone’s story is unique. Some people start from humble beginnings; others begin from comfort and privilege. Our challenges, struggles, and timelines differ, but what connects us all is the pursuit of meaning and self-growth.
That’s what Sattva Nation stands for — helping people become the best version of their own identity. You can always have mentors, inspirations, and role models — and you should. But do not imitate. You are your own story.
You can draw strength from others’ journeys, but always remember — your circumstances are different, your challenges are different, and so your victories will also be different. The key is to stay grateful for where you are and who you’re becoming.
When people ask me what inspired Sattva Nation, I always say — it was born from my lowest phase. I had just lost my father, and it felt like I had lost a part of myself. But instead of letting that pain break me, I decided to turn it into purpose — to build something that reflects his values, his strength, and his belief that being kind, ambitious, and independent can coexist beautifully.
So, my only advice to anyone wishing to follow in my footsteps is this — take inspiration, but don’t imitate.
Respect your journey, no matter how small it seems.
And remember, you don’t have to be anyone else’s version of success — just be your own.
