Aesthetically designed spaces are essential today because they elevate quality of life and also enhance functionality, while concurrently increasing property value. At home, good design fosters comfort and well-being; in commercial settings, it strengthens brand identity, attracts clients and talent, and boosts productivity. Today, we are joined by Ms. Tanya Aggarwal, who truly understands this concept and brings it to life through her venture, Casainterio. As the Founder and Design Head of Casainterio, she strives to blend modern trends with classic charm to help clients transform their spaces into highly functional, personalized sanctuaries. Founded in 2019, and based in Delhi NCR, her firm designs beautiful, functional, and sustainable spaces that reflect each client’s personality and needs. Her work spans both residential and commercial projects, offering thoughtful, tailored solutions.
Quote – “Confidence and determination are key to overcoming challenges and achieving your goals”.
1. What sparked your interest in interior design and how has your creative vision evolved since you began?
My interest in interior design has been long standing. I have always been drawn to spaces that seamlessly blend functionality with aesthetic. I often found myself envisioning new ways to decorate and enhance spaces.
As I have grown as a designer, my creative vision has evolved to focus more on creating spaces that not only look beautiful but also promote well-being. My goal is to create spaces that are functional and sustainable for the long term.
2. As a woman entrepreneur in a competitive, creative field, what challenges/ biases have you faced and how did you navigate them?
As a women entrepreneur in a competitive creative industry, I have indeed faced quite a number of challenges, one being constant underestimation and unequal opportunities. To navigate these biases, I have focused on staying adaptable in an ever-changing environment. I have also learnt to communicate my ideas clearly and confidently, which has helped me build strong relationships with clients. My work vouches for my credibility and that has helped me navigate various challenges on my entrepreneurial journey so far.
3. How do you balance your creative vision with the practical demands of daily life and clients?
One of the most important things that has worked in my favor is clear communication with clients and prioritising their needs. Each client is unique, with different demands and visions for their dream space. By understanding their priorities, I am able to balance both the needs.
4. How do you remain creatively fresh in a field that’s constantly changing – what inspires you when you aren’t designing?
To stay creatively fresh, I enjoy exploring exhibitions, following inspiring designers on social media and magazines. Travelling and immersing myself in new cultures. Trying new restaurants also contributes in enhancing my creativity!
5. Looking ahead, what is your bigger vision for your brand?
My vision is to build a brand that goes beyond offering exceptional interior design services—a brand that actively enhances well-being, encourages sustainable living, and creates meaningful change. I aspire to design spaces that uplift people’s daily lives while minimizing environmental impact through conscious material choices and responsible practices.
Looking ahead, I hope to expand my work globally, bringing thoughtful, human-centric design to communities around the world. As the brand grows, I aim to contribute to society through initiatives that support education, empowerment, and sustainable development, ensuring that the impact of my work extends far beyond the spaces I create.
6. Any words of wisdom for other women who aspire to follow in your footsteps?
My advice to aspiring women entrepreneurs is to stay true to your passion and values. Build a support network, seek mentorship, and be open to learning from your mistakes. Confidence and determination are key to overcoming challenges and achieving your goals. Don’t be afraid to take risks and trust your instincts, and always prioritise self-care to maintain your physical and mental well-being.
