Trend Micro to pick most promising technology entrepreneurs in the world at CES 2020

Trend Micro Incorporated, one of the leading cybersecurity solution providers in the world, announced on January 7th at CES that the Trend Forward Capital fund will once again be a part of the renowned consumer technologies forum. It will offer a number of specially selected events designed to identify, recognise, and support the most promising technology entrepreneurs in the world.

As such, its popular pitch-off event will return once again, offering a reward of $30,000 to the three most impressive start-ups, handpicked by an elite line-up of judges from the Venture Capitalist world.

Jonathan Chang, Partner, Trend Forward Capital, said, “At Trend Forward Capital we put our money where our mouth is. Every time we’ve hosted a CES pitch-off competition we’ve ended up investing in one of the winners. It’s a fantastic vehicle for the most exciting, innovative start-ups around to get their message out. And for us it’s an opportunity to discover and nurture the innovators who are going to help us drive the smart connected world as we enter a new decade.”

The line-up of judges for this year’s event features several renowned VC leaders, possessing decades of industry experience, between them, such as Rana el Kaliouby, co-founder and CEO, Affectiva, Alberto Yepez, co-founder and managing director, ForgePoint Capital, Elizabeth Galbut, founding partner, SoGal Ventures, Vijay Rajendran, innovation and partnerships director, 500 Startups, and Nancy Wang, co-founder, Advancing Women in Product (AWIP).

The pitch-off finalists for this year have been carefully selected after the evaluation of their pitch decks and 60-second video introductions, with the competitions scheduled to take place every day of the event, from Jan 7th-9th, between 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The event can be attended by anyone present at CES, and will be held at Trend Forward Capital’s CES booth at Sands Hall #42342.

In addition to this, it will also host private start-up tune-up sessions at its booth, in order to provide helpful advice and feedback to emerging entrepreneurs at the event.
