Ms. Dia Mirza
Welcome to yet another episode of She Diaries where we step inside the contemporary, empowered mind of a woman who sheds light on climate change, and its adverse effects especially on women and children. We have with us Dia Mirza, actor, producer, eco-investor, UNEP Goodwill Ambassador, and UN Secretary General’s advocate for sustainable development goals among a long list of accomplishments and roles that she plays.
She talks about the urgency to address the triple planetary crisis – biodiversity loss, climate crisis, and pollution. It is a loud appeal to the human conscience to amend our ways and love our surroundings more to protect our families and our home planet. The listeners are also enlightened about the need to bring about a balance between economic growth and climate action. Our idea of ‘development’ needs to change; our idea of what ‘economic growth’ means needs to change.
We need more women like her, who are uniquely themselves and want to make a change in the world.
