Women Enterprises Development Scheme
The scheme provides financial assistance to women entrepreneurs so that they can start their own ventures. Women entrepreneurs who have their own business can also register themselves under this scheme for expansion, modernization and diversification of their businesses. Skilled women entrepreneurs between the age group of 18 and 50 years are eligible to take loan under this scheme. The project cost shouldn’t increase Rs 15 lakhs. 75% of the project cost will be given as assistance and the promoter has to contribute another 25%. The applicant has to repay the term loan within 3-7 years.

Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA)
The Authority develops agricultural commodities and processed food and also assists in the export activities. It provides financial assistance in packaging development, export promotion and market development.

Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI)
The Ministry takes care of technological up gradation activities, modernization of food processing industries especially in fruits and vegetables and pulses production. It also provides a loan of upto Rs 75 lakhs for setting up of food processing plant and other technical civil works in North East region of India.

Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojana (AHVY)
The scheme works towards the development of handicraft business and encourage participation in handicraft industries. It extends financial assistance in order to develop and supply of modernized tools. It also conducts workshops, training programs, seminars and exhibitions for developing the handicraft industry of North Eastern region of India.

Mahila Coir Yojana
It is women oriented self employment scheme that provides a subsidy of 75% of the cost of purchase of rats. This subsidy is provided to trained women artisans.

North Eastern Development Finance Corporation
The main aim of this Corporation is to provide financial assistance to women entrepreneurs for taking up business ventures. The existing business ventures which already exist and handled by women are also eligible under this scheme and financial assistance is given to them for expansion, modernization and diversification of their business enterprises. The beneficiaries include skilled women entrepreneurs between the age group of 18 years and 50 years. The applicant has to be a woman and who is engaged in any income generating activity which includes small business trade etc. Assistance is given in form of term loan to projects whose cost should not exceed Rs 15 lacs. A maximum of 75% of the project cost can be granted as term loan. 25% of the project cost is contributed by the promoter. The loan has to be repaid with a rate of interest of 8 % within 3 to 7 years.
