Global Summit on startups to be organized by DPIIT in 2021 (on January 15-16)

Participation in the Global Summit Department, organized by Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) in 2021, will include startups from Asian countries, domestic players and global entrepreneurs. Global and domestic venture capital funds, regulatory authorities like SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India), Reserve Bank of India, Central Board and taxation agencies – CBDT (Central Board of Direct Taxes) and CBIC (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs) are also expected to participate.

It is anticipated that PM Narendra Modi will address the audience at the summit. This adds to the measures the government has taken to beef up the startup ecosystem in the country to promote innovation.
